BRUNI MUNARI INSPIRED POP UP BOOK
In 2019/2020 my class participated in a project in collaboration with the MUSLI (Museum of School and Children’s Book) in which they asked to make pop up books that would then be exhibited inside the museum.
Together with my classmate Lodovico Beltramo we created a pop up book inspired by some works by Bruno Munari.
In particular we were inspired by the series of books of the triangle, square and circle transforming them into pyramid, cube and sphere.
The book is very simple, in black and white, with just 3 pages, summarizes the best quote by Bruno Munari that states “Complicating is easy, simplifying is difficult. To complicate just add, everything you want: colors, shapes, actions, decorations, characters, environments full of things. Everyone is able to complicate. Few are capable of simplification.”
